Information about obstetrics and ordering of courses

Personal information, courses and exercises meet on the second floor, door number 284 “Preparatory pair to delivery exercises” (right side of the main stairs at the end of the short hall at the main elevator, opposite the department RES.)

Complete information for the visitors of mothers and fathers at the delivery and care of the mother can be found on the paid information courses. Receive generally 2x2 hours of professional information. The best period for ordering of the course is 2 months before delivery. The courses are not.

• First part - Obstetrics
  Preterm preparation, when to go the obstetrics hospital, what to take with you, single term delivery, training exercises, delivery by caesarian section, father at delivery, hygiene and basic health needs, postpartum, and psychiatric changes.
• Second Part - care of newborn in the obstetrics hospital and at home
  Nursing, breast-feeding, demonstrations, practice with a model.

Courses also provide important information about obstetrics, organization, advice concerning documents, etc, Tour of the labor and delivery according to possibility!

• Continuation of the III part newborn courses for future of newborn families.

Payment of courses and presence of father at delivery is accounted for in this amount:

• Pre-delivery course- mother alone (2x2 hours): CZK 500
• Presence of partner at delivery (and without course): CZK 1000
• Pre-delivery course- mother and father+ father at delivery: CZK 1700
• Presence of father at planned SC (with course) CZK 2300
• Presence of father at planned SC (without course): CZK 3000, Kc

Exercises for pregnant women (always ordered)

Exercises cost (CZK 120/45 min, payment for 5 lectures - CZK 600).

What to bring with you to the obstetrics hospital

• To labor and delivery
  • Documents (pregnancy book, identification card, insurance card)
  • Change of clothes for both
  • Can be ones own shirt 2x (long shirt-short and wide arms) robe
  • Father - light comfortable clothing
  • Drink - non-carbonated water, tea
  • Toalet needs
  • 1-2 towels
  • YAL-gel
  • Relaxing music-cassette (player in room), CD
• To post partum ward
  • Toalet needs
  • 2-3 towels
  • BEPANTHEN - cream
  • Breastfeeding bra (without lining)
  • Supporter to bra
• For newborn
  • 6-10 one time use diapers/day (Average movement 4-5 days after spontaneous birth.), it is sufficient to bring the diapers on the second day to the department
  • Is possible to have own clothes

Please, bring with you to the hospital a small bag (collection of items-diapers, etc. sufficient until 2^nd day.) Thank you.
